The Faculty of Chemistry is one of the oldest BSU faculties with a rich history and prestigious prospects.

The Faculty’s research facilities include state-of-the-art devices for studying the chemical structure of substances, micro- and nano-scale surface studies, drug quality control.

The international cooperation

The Faculty’s extensive international links provide an opportunity for academics and students to take part in grant, internship and cooperation programmes with universities all over the world, participate in international student exchanges.Students undertake work placements in leading Belarusian companies and educational and research centres of Russia, Slovakia, Austria (within Star-Net network in cooperation with IAEA).Student science

A chemist is a unique profession as a chemist can become a creator capable of changing the world radically, can give life to new technologies, medicines and materials. The Faculty offers innovative learning and teaching: lectures via podcasting, lab work via videoconferencing, among others.

Students can join the teams of famous scientists, participate in scientific publications and conferences.

Student life

Students have every opportunity for self-realization in student academic and research projects Virtuosos of Chemistry Experiment, BSU Eco-Style, and others.

Student life is very active: sports events, fests, tourist gatherings, traditional festivals Freshman Day, Chemists’ Gathering, Chemist Day, intellectual quizzes What? Where? When?, Mother Tongue Day, movie nights, intellectual contests and local Student Chemical-Analytical Theatre.
